Ammann Soil Compactor Leads Industry in Compaction Force
Vibratory System is Key to the ARS 110.2
LANGENTHAL, Switzerland – Ammann has unveiled a new soil compactor that delivers the highest applied force to the ground when compared to competitive products.
The Ammann ARS 110.2 Soil Compactor, an 11-tonne roller, is the latest model in the new ARS Soil Compactor line. The machine is built for the Indian market at Ammann’s facility in Mehsana, Gujarat.
The compactor utilises the Ashok Leyland CEV-IV H4C410122 engine, which is fuel efficient, durable and meets CEV IV emissions.
The vibratory system is key to the success of the new roller. The robust, four-bearing system maximises output, helping operators reach compaction targets in the fewest possible passes. The system drives energy into materials and away from the operator.
Varied amplitude settings make the machine a good fit for multiple applications. They include state and national highways, city and municipal roads, PMGSY (urban-rural connectivity), railway embankments, airports, mining haul roads, port distribution hubs, Formula 1 roadways, industrial developments, internal roads for power and steel plants, and smart city developments.
Rugged tyres, with a 12-ply rating, provide traction and productivity. The rear-axle concept enables unmatched stability, gradeability and traction – while also improving operator visibility.
An intuitive, reliable dashboard helps even inexperienced operators succeed. It is part of an improved operator platform that offers enhanced visibility and comfort.
Operators also appreciate the vibration-free rubber mounts and the engine compartment design, which forces hot air toward the rear of the machine and away from the platform.
The ARS 110.2 is designed to deliver savings after the purchase, particularly when servicing the machine. Convenient maintenance points ensure work is completed quickly. Service points can be accessed from the ground, while the engine can be reached easily through a tiltable platform and hood.
An optional, easy-to-install padfoot shell kit helps the roller perform in cohesive soils and penetrate more deeply when needed.
