Flexibility Makes Ammann Concrete Plant a Perfect Fit
Kieswerk Arieschbach AG was in the market for a new concrete-mixing plant with higher productivity.
Not only that, the Fideris, Switzerland-based business needed a plant that would fit. The replacement had to match the exact footprint of the previous plant.
“The special space conditions at the site made it necessary to develop an innovative, customised solution – a challenge that we tackled together with our customer with great commitment,” said Peter Maurer, head of Ammann’s Sales and Service for Plants in Switzerland.
The first step was identifying the concrete plant that best met the company’s production demands. “It needed to not only fit into the space, but also to provide the necessary productivity when it got there,” Maurer said. “We could never lose sight of the fact the plant had to meet business expectations after it was installed.”
The Ammann CBS 120 Concrete-Mixing Plant was the perfect choice. “It sets new standards in concrete production,” Maurer said.
The mineral silo is optimised for the use of recycled concrete, with specially designed steep angles and large flaps to ensure precise dosing. The plant also impresses with its intuitive operation and high efficiency, which minimise both production and maintenance costs.
Of course, the plant’s flexible layout was essential on this project. “In close cooperation with Kieswerk Arieschbach AG, we configured the Ammann CBS 120 precisely to the special requirements of the site and the production targets,” Maurer said.
Fast turnaround
All parties prioritised the project. Kieswerk Arieschbach AG submitted an order for planning and implementation in December of 2023 – the very first step of the process. By August 2024, the plant was ready for commissioning.
“The flexible design and efficient construction of the system enabled us to complete the project in an amazing time frame,” Maurer said. “The scheduled commissioning marked a significant milestone.”
The partnership proved to be rewarding on all fronts. “We are proud of the excellent cooperation with Kieswerk Arieschbach AG and are pleased to have made a meaningful contribution to the success of this project with our flexible plant concept and experienced team,” Maurer said.
